On The 15th of June we officially voted for the name of the woon-coop . Prior to the meeting suggested names were put on the WhatsApp page and the top 5 were picked to be voted at the meeting .

In the first round of voting 2 names had the same vote so we went for a second round . HOUSE OF HOPE emerged the winner .

Next we were updated on what we had already done . Our vision was sent to the municipality already for them to check and comment. These were the notes we got :

• The difficulty with the social vs mid-rent. Most Wooncoop’s have 30% social housing, that brings a bit of concern as ours is higher than that. Thus we have to take it into account.

When the final version is sent to the municipality it can take up to 3-4 weeks before our board is invited for an interview .

In the meantime we can work on the budget and financial plan, and the allocation policy. From Sept till Dec.

Caroline is from Ambazonia . She has been living in the neighborhood for about 20 years .She is a trader , retailer business administrator that is self employed .Welcome Caroline !
